Nestled in the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River, Schweizer Orchards has produced and packed high quality River Bend Apples for over four generations. A family owned business, Schweizer Orchards continues this tradition with their retail market in St. Joseph, Missouri.

We offer more than a variety of edible delights, you will also be welcomed by staff with a warm, friendly smile and have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors by picking your own fruit in season. We also have freshly picked fruit and produce available inside the market. The Schweizer Family has produced fine quality fruits for four generations and invites you and your family to come out and sample all the delicious specialties and unusual gift ideas.

Strawberries

Late May brings some of the sweetest fresh strawberries found in Northwest Missouri and you'll find plenty to pick at Schweizer Orchards. Experience berry picking made easy in wide beds with plenty of large ripe berries. Don't hesitate too long or they will all be gone!

  

Peaches

Homegrown Missouri peaches are a favorite at Schweizer Orchards. We grow several varieties including both yellow and white peaches. You can find peaches already picked and packaged inside or you can head out to the orchard and find your own when in season. Bring a napkin for when the juice starts running down your chin!

Apples

Apples come in many different varieties, and we grow plenty of them. Jonathan, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Gala, Fuji, and Jonagold are just a few to tempt your taste buds. Nothing tastes quite like a Missouri apple fresh picked from the tree. We offer you the chance to pick your own or purchase them already picked and
packed inside the market.

  

Specialties

You will find a large selection of jams and jellies and fresh produce in season year round at the market. We also carry a variety of sugarless products as well as sorghum, fruit butters, Amish made items, relishes, nuts, and apple cider. Apple and Cherry Cider slushes are everyone's favorite treat. We offer a wide array of seasonal items including many different squash, Indian corn, gourds, corn shocks, mums, and straw bales. You will also find many fun fall decorations for your home.
